I swear, I turned into a mad scientist last weekend — with LEGOs, wires, and probably more plastic parts than my vacuum has eaten over the years. First, I dragged out a coding kit (yes, I Googled “how to code without breaking anything”), and my kid insisted on building a robot instead of building “normal boring towers.” So we jumped into some robotics play, and halfway through I found myself explaining why the robot can’t just beep-boop to clean its room. Then, we busted out a science experiment set — suddenly, our kitchen counter looked like a chemistry lab (minus the white coats, but definitely full of spilled glitter and curiosity).
The best part? My little engineer was so hyped, asking “What happens if we mix this?” while I nervously reminded myself: “Don’t blow anything up… yet.” Watching them connect code, gears, and test tubes was like watching a tiny Einstein invent an even tinier Rube Goldberg machine — chaotic, hilarious, and absolutely magical. STEAM learning just got real (and a little messy), but wow, was it worth it.
